CVUSD is proud to host a free, virtual Parent Education Series, which will offer tools, tips, and tricks to help families and their TK and/or Kindergarten students be and feel prepared for the first day of the 2023-2024 school year in August. Click here to learn more and register to attend, today!

The NLMC is one of the largest math contests in the United States for elementary and middle school students. Every year, more than 30,000 students across the country participate in the contest to compete against each other. The goal of the NLMC is to develop students' problem-solving skills so that they will become better thinkers and they will be better prepared for advanced STEM studies.

During the test, students will apply their problem-solving skills and math concepts learned in the classroom to solve twenty creative math problems independently. The top scorer of each team will earn a Team Winner medal. In addition, the top 10% of students in the nation will earn the National Honor Roll medals and the top 50% of students in the nation will earn the Honorable Mention ribbons.

All 4th and 5th grade students are welcome to join Mrs. Ackmann and Mrs. Young for additional practices.

• Students may not be dropped off or picked up after school through the front entrance!
• Please be mindful and DO NOT park in Staff parking spots to drop off students. Those are reserved for staff members only.

A few friendly reminders for the drop-off and pick-up line:

1. If you are using the drop-off and pick-up lines, please pull all the way forward and do not leave your vehicle.
2. All students using the drop-off and pick-up line should be ready to leave the car with their backpacks.
3. There is NO parking in the drop-off and pick-up lines.
4. All students should enter campus through our gates on Sandhurst and Knightsbridge.

Please do not enter through the front of the school to look for lost items.

The items will be donated at the end of each month.

Please congratulate our California State honoree! She was in the top four in her category among all entries from our state. Congratulations Wrangler!
