School and College Years
After graduating from Latrobe High School, Mr.Rogers then presided to study at Dartmouth College then transferred to Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida where he was awarded a B.A. in music composition in 1951. Mr.Rogers then graduated from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary to become a Presbyterian Minister in the United Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A..
Personal Life and Work
At Rollins College Fred Rogers met Sara Joanne Byrd, the one girl that would end up being his wife. In June 9, 1952 they got married and then by 9 years later they had two kids by that time. The moment Fred Rogers decided he need to be in a television job is when while watching children's tv shows and seeing horrible things like people throwing pie in other peoples faces and that small moment is where everything changed.
Death
After 75 years of life, his body finally gave up and he died. With a pretty amazing record too with multiple awards including a Nobel Piece Prize and many more awards. Mr. Rogers truly was a gift of nature and a gift to all of us.
