Elementary Adaptive Pause

December 1-10, 2021

The Pecatonica Elementary School will enter into an adaptive pause and go to remote learning beginning on Wednesday, December 1st and will remain in remote learning until Friday, December 10th. Our plan is to have all elementary students be able to return to school on Monday, December 13th. This amount of time was determined based on when the vast majority of our staff are allowed to return based on quarantine guidelines.

The Elementary School Building will be closed on Wednesday, December 1st for a deep cleaning. The staff that are able will report back to school on Thursday, December 2nd and follow normal contractual hours. The elementary staff will be sending out notifications to families within their specific classroom. All elementary students will be expected to connect with their classroom teachers on Thursday, December 2nd.

Schools closed in observance of Winter Break

Our last day before Winter Break will be December 22 with a 1:45 pm dismissal that afternoon. MAP Testing -- Winter Benchmark

Upon return from winter break, elementary and middle schools students will be participating in MAP winter benchmarking during the month of January (dates TBD).

The winter benchmark will tell us how much students have grown since the fall session. These winter tests will also provide us with information on areas of strength and weakness and help us better instructional practices to meet the needs of every student.
