-PTSD is chronic, it can be lifelong or last for years
-Those with PTSD have what are called their "triggers". Triggers can be anything that reminds the person of the terrifying event or situation that is causing the PTSD. It can be anything as seemingly small and insignificant as a scent and anything as large as once again seeing the person who was responsible for what happened. These tiggers cause psychological "episodes" which can consist of many things. The person can feel as if they are once again experiencing the event (flashbacks), or they can also have a physical reaction.
