Upcoming Cultural Arts Residency for the Intermediate Unit
On October 14th, we will begin our Intermediate Cultural Arts residency program with tile artist, Kathy Casper. Over 2 weeks, Intermediate students will meet to design a tile mosaic inspired by our school-wide theme.
Number Drummer
On Friday, The Number Drummer performed for all our students. The program was presented by Troy Kryzalka. He hosted two interactive assemblies; one for our K/1 students and one for 2/3 and 4/5 students.
Each assembly was 50 minutes of math, music, and fun. Students had the opportunity see, hear, and play math. Upon entering the gym, each student was provided drumsticks and assigned a section (wood, plastic, or cowbell). Through exploration of music and math concepts, students participated in a school-wide percussion performance!
Thank you to the HSA Cultural Arts team for organizing this experience and volunteering their time to come support and help on Friday.
