Message for Roselawn Students
April 7, 2020
Good Morning Roselawn Students and Families!
We begin our week with not only our morning announcements but also a couple of notes for parents as well:
- Having a set communication schedule is important. In the first three weeks of school closure, we communicated at least three times per week. Now that we have settled into a routine we will communicate with the following: 1) A morning message sent out either Monday or Tuesday of the week. 2) A closing message for the week. In both of these, we will provide updates for parents as well as a video for students.
- I want to thank everybody for sending us videos of their families doing the pledge of allegiance. They are awesome!
- Packets are being mailed home with resources for those students in grades K through 4. Mr. Nelson is also including his books to those students that were selected for the last two weeks. Packets will hit the mail tomorrow and families should see them Friday or Saturday.
- The district is doing a great job of trying to provide technology resources, meals and anything else to those families that are needed. Please reach out if families need anything.
- As we work hard to provide instruction for Roselawn students, this first couple of weeks our goals were as follows:
- Help create a routine and structure for our students
- Engage students in their learning platform, either Google Classroom (Grades 3 through 5) or Traditional Instructional Packet
- Reach out to families to see if the work we are providing them is too much or not enough.
- In the coming weeks, we will offer instruction that introduces new content for our students and we will work hard to make sure our delivery systems offer clarity and a way that parents/students can ask for help.
- Make sure to check out the Roselawn Landing page, at the link below. Every day we are adding resources from Mrs. Jenness, and other teachers as well.
Now, on to the weekly announcement for our students:
Have a great week!
