Catholic Schools Week 2016!
Open House was also a success! A HUGE THANKS to Denny and team for getting the building looking great! I also cannot say enough about the doors- your creativity is definitely SHINE-ing in our building. I appreciate your hard work in a well thought out plan for each of the doors- it really does make a difference in the hallways.
I'm look forward to a fun-filled, jam-packed week of celebrations with you all. St. Francis de Sales wouldn't be what it is with out all of you! The FFN would like to let you know just how special you are by serving brunch for lunch this Tuesday in the Upper Room. If you can't make it up to the Upper Room on Tuesday, just shoot me a text or email and I will make you a plate :)
Have a great week and GO FALCONS!

IOWA and CoGat Testing
Some things to keep in mind, however:
- Specials classes will be canceled for the morning of testing days. Once the testing schedule is finalized we can work on re-working a specials schedule to ensure that students are not missing a ton of face time with their specials teachers.
- You may pick up your testing materials Wednesday morning from the office. This will include your testing labels. Please work with your partner teacher to separate labels.
- Please include a message in your weekly blurb to remind parents that students will need to be well rested, eat a healthy breakfast, and bring a snack to school.
5 Minutes for Faith
I hope that you will rejoice with me this week in prayer for the gift of Catholic Schools. I count my blessings every day that I come to work with students who are inspired to live like Christ, faculty and staff who demonstrate their faith on a daily basis, and a pastoral staff that supports our Parish School in educating both the hearts and the minds of our children.
Mark your calendars!
- Tuesday, February 4 we will have our Faculty Meeting at 3:30 in the Upper Room. Please see the notes from Friday's email regarding the OCSAA surveys. If you are having difficulty seeing the responses in a readable format please see me. Please remember that you will need to come with notes (on the sheets I left in your mailbox) regarding your opinions of the survey results. While we will have break out discussion time on Tuesday, we will not have time to read the survey results in depth. I thank you in advance for your work in preparing for this meeting!
- Tuesday, February 4 is also Literacy Night. I am looking forward to a fun filled evening and maybe even winning a Kindle! It will begin at 7:00 pm with an awards assembly for those who won the Literacy Contest in December.
- This Thursday we will celebrate the Feast of St. Blaise! Father Thomas will be around to all classrooms on Thursday afternoon to bless the throats of the students. If you have any questions regarding logistics, please speak with Kathy Ott.
- A big thank you goes out to the Specials teachers who worked out a schedule for some special events we have coming up over the next two weeks. Please click the link below to see the schedule. I will share the doc as well.
