Soft copies of the teacher input will be sent out by the end of the week.
Teaching and Learning Corner
PSSA Initiative: Continue to encourage scholars, building energy towards to PSSA. “We Can Do It” Do Nows and Fitness Friday challenges went well this week. Continue the momentum to build scholar confidence. A couple quick reminders:
- Daily update of your classroom count-down calendar
- Integration of PSSA Do Now questions daily
- Teach scholars to use their tools (calculators, formula sheets, writer check-lists, etc)
Look Fors:
Instructional: iReady: Our usage has been low the past two weeks. As we continue to intervene with our scholars, ensure you are integrating opportunities for scholars to get 45 minutes of math and reading instruction. Please send reminders to your parents about at-home usage as well.
Cultural: In the Moment Reset: Just like Ms. Stoecker in our best practice spot light on Wednesday, ensure you use opportunities of less than 100% to practice and reset. Ensure you use a positive tone and name the expectation again.
