Flag Football

All 6 CUSD high schools will play in the Nike & NFL Kickoff Classic Thursday, September 1st 6 PM at Hamilton. This game is an All-Star game with Chandler Girls Flag Football players teamed up with Casteel and Perry facing off against Hamilton, Basha, and ACP. Come out and support our Lady Wolves and wear white.

Device Protection Plan

Chandler USD has an optional Device Protection Plan (DPP) that students can purchase to help reduce potential costs of devices in need of repair. While this was originally intended to be a one-time fee, the district has determined that the DPP will need to be paid annually to ensure the sustainability of our 1:1 learning initiative. Accordingly, every student will see the optional DPP fee assigned to them for the 2022-2023 school year and will need to pay the fee if they wish to participate in the plan. This fee must be paid by September 1st. Thank you for your understanding.

At CUSD Unified Sports are considered varsity sports. Each participant who completes the season and attends all required practices and events receive a Varsity Unified Letter from their home school. All participants must also complete an Athletic Clearance Packet.

Chandler Buddies

What is Chandler Buddies?

The mission of Chandler Buddies is to create a culture of acceptance and inclusion . This club provides opportunities to build one-to-one friendships between individuals with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Here at CHS we have had a lot of success building and maintaining relationships between students with intellectual disabilities and their non-disabled peers. While participating in Chandler Buddies, students have the opportunity to develop the social skills needed to build social confidence and meaningful friendships. Students are paired using questionnaires and by attending "matching" parties.

How can I get involved?

You can participate in chandler buddies as a Buddy, Peer Buddy or as an Associate Member.

Buddy - Buddies are students with intellectual or developmental disabilities. All Buddies are paired with a Peer Buddy and attend all events. Buddies maintain contact with their Peer Buddy and maintain contact with their Peer Buddy at least once a week.

Peer Buddy - Peer Buddies are matched to Buddies and facilitate the one-to-one friendships. Peer Buddies attend all club events, and maintain contact with their Buddy at least once a week.

Associate Member - Associate members attend all Chandler Buddies meetings and events. They are not paired one-to-one with a Buddy, however, interact with all buddies casually throughout the year.

What activities do Chandler Buddies members participate in?

The club gets together once a month for a variety of activities that includes picnics, game nights, movie nights, holiday parties, lip sync battles, making art for the art show, etc.

If you are selected as a peer buddy, you will be paired up with another student. Peer Buddies and Buddies communicate or socialize at least once a week. This can include phone calls, texts, eating lunch, going to a sporting event, dinner and a movie, video games, etc.

See Mrs. Peacock in room 505 for more information

CHandler Flex Service

If you are traveling in the designated Chandler Flex service area, take advantage of this free, on-demand, microtransit service. This service is not meant to replace CUSD bus service, but rather fill in gaps, by providing trips to students involved in before or after-school activities that may not have bus access at those times.
