How to report bullying, harassment, and intimidation, including sexual harassment

Each school has a designated staff member who serves as the Student Welfare Liaison. The role of this person includes assisting the principal in providing professional development for staff in recognizing and reporting serious incidents, including child abuse/neglect, bullying, harassment (including sexual harassment), incidents of hate-bias, hazing, and issues involving student gender identity. In addition, the liaison serves as a point of contact for the school in support of the principal, facilitates needed resources for students involved, and is aware of changes in policies, regulations, and quick-reference materials. Loiederman's Student Welfare Liason is our 6th Grade Counselor Ms. Sloane Guber.

Test Kits were to be distributed to all MCPS students and staff in April 2022. To ensure our school community remains safe, students and staff should use the MCPS COVID–19 Self-Reporting Form to record any positive COVID–19 cases.

We want to thank you for participating as this is one of our mitigation tactics to limit the spread of COVID.

Reminder about Sick Students

If your child tells you they do not feel well in the morning, please do not send them to school. This includes any complaint of a headache, stomach ache, sore throat or cough. We appreciate you keeping them home until these symptoms resolve or a note is received from the doctor that your child has another reason for these symptoms and may be in school. If your child becomes sick in school, please remind them to go to the health room first and not text home to be picked up. The school nurses must assess every sick child at the school.
