Time To Vote in Texas

Early voting and mail-in ballot voting are underway for the Texas general election.Take the time now to educate yourself on the candidates and issues, then make your plan on when, where and how to vote.

Remember, mail-in ballots (formerly called absentee ballots) are available only to voters who are 65 and older, are sick or have a disability, are incarcerated but otherwise eligible, or will be out of their home county on Election Day and during the early voting period.

Some key dates:

- Noon, Friday, Oct. 28: Applications to vote by mail must be received by your county's voting clerk.

- Oct. 24 to Nov. 4: Early in-person voting takes place.

- Nov. 8: General election.
