Family Update
Dublin Jerome High School
Take Responsibility, Always Growing, Better Together
August 26, 2022
A message from me...
Good Afternoon!
We successfully navigated our first full week of school. Students have settled into their schedule and we will begin to build routine and consistency to our days. As kids become more comfortable their personalities begin to shine and we start to get to really know each other. It is great to know them and learn who they are.
Students will also begin to see an increase in the academic expectations within the classroom. Teachers will begin to review, introduce and build skills with students. The routine and consistency students create with their school work is vital to their long term success. Now is a great time to begin to help shape, or reinforce your expectations. This will pay dividends as we move deeper into the school year.
Each day we want to get a little bit better, learn from our mistakes, and be the best versions of ourselves. If we all do that it will continue to be a great year.
Thanks for all your help and support.
Better Together,
Mike
Weekly Schedule
Working Wednesday Schedule
Busses run on their normal schedule and students are supervised in our commons. If students drive or are dropped off, class begins at 8:20.
Attendance Reminders
Helpful attendance reminders:
- If your student will be absent from school the best way to communicate with the attendance office is via email djhs_attendance@dublinschools.net
- Calls placed to the attendance line are not excused absences. Students must bring written documentation of the absence from the parent on the day of his/her return.
- Per House Bill 410, failure to supply written documentation of the absence will result in an unexcused absence and the student may be considered truant. Additionally, once a student accumulates 38 hours in one month or 65 hours in a school year, only a doctor’s note will be accepted as written documentation of an excused absence.
- Please understand, if you call the school to report your students' absence, per district policy in accordance with HB 66, you will receive a call from the automated system.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact
