School Board Highlights
Lindsay Bernhagen, Ph.D., UW-SP, and Director Feidt provided an update and framework for the "Point Forward to an Inclusive District" work aimed at improving the District's ability to meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of marginalized student groups.
The Consent Agenda, including the approval of monthly bills and employment recommendations, were approved.
Business Services
The board approved a resolution awarding the sale of general obligation bonds for continued referendum projects and a project progress report was provided.
Monthly financial statements were provided by the District Finance Manager.
Educational Services
Following public hearings, the board approved the District's applications for waiver of Educator Effectiveness Requirements and Required Instructional Hours.
Student Services
Director Feidt provided the annual Seclusion and Restraint report including information on Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training, behavior intervention plans, and IEP team involvement when necessary.
General
The board provided their endorsement for the proposed Plover River Crossing extension of the Green Circle Trail into the Bannach Elementary School neighborhood.
The next regular meeting of the school board is scheduled to take place on Monday, October 12, 2020.

COVID-19 Reminders and Updates
Reminders
- Mask Requirements for students and staff will remain in place through at least November 4 The District mask requirements are separate from those issued by the Governor of Wisconsin. Additional information on the extension of the state order through November 21 can be found here.
- If you are unsure if you should report to work these Employee and Student Response Flowcharts detail specific expectations from experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, to waiting for a test, to receiving test results. We all have a responsibility to monitor ourselves and follow these expectations to keep our buildings open for learning.
Updates
- The District's application to the Wisconsin Department of Instruction to waive Educator Effectiveness requirements and required calendar minutes have been approved. It is important to note that our current educational model meets all minute requirements and the application was only applied for out of an abundance of caution. Specific questions regarding EE can be directed to your supervisor.
- The District's COVID-19 Dashboard has been updated to reflect active cases separated by students and staff.
