Happy New Year! ~Welcome 2021~

Big picture

Remote Learning

Remote learning will continue the week of January 4. The schedule will remain the same as it had prior to the winter break. Please see the remote learning schedule posted in your child's homeroom Google Classroom. Please support us by making sure your child is up and ready to learn! It is also very important your child attends the scheduled live meet sessions. Thank you for your continued support!

Face-to-Face Learning

We will resume face-to-face instruction on Monday, January 11. It is very important your child remembers to charge their Chrome book Sunday evening before returning to school. Learning will continue as it had prior to going remote. Students will continue to work at a desk 6 feet apart from their peers. Please remember to send your child to school with a mask. Should you have any questions, please see the return to school letter shared via email by Mr. Kraly and Mr. Young.

No School!

Please remember there is no school Monday, January 18.

Winter Testing

In the month of January students will be taking the NWEA test to measure their growth and progress in math and reading. Testing dates are to be determined. When testing dates are decided we will notify you.

Please make sure your child gets a good night's rest the night before and eats a healthy breakfast so their mind can be sharp for the test. It is also very important your child's Chrome book is fully charged.

Mideterm Exams

As stated in our curriculum information shared at the start of the school year, middle school students take mid term exams. Due to the nature of our school year and the adjustments we have had to make because of Covid 19 we have not finalized our plans for midterms.

Tentative exam dates include Wednesday, January 20 and Thursday, January 21. Testing dates are subject to change. We will keep you posted when plans have been finalized. Students will receive information on how to prepare for their exams. Additionally, we will discuss with your child good study habits, skills and practices to ensure their success!

Earbuds/Headphones Reminder!

Upon returning face-to-face:

Please remind your child to bring a pair of earbuds/headphones to school each day. We recommend an inexpensive pair to keep in your child's backpack at all times and a pair to keep at home, so that they aren't forgotten.

Thank you!

Please CHARGE the Chrome Book!

Please remind your child to charge their laptop each night, so that it is fully charged for the next school day. Powering the laptop completely off will help make sure it is fully charged. Thank you!

The Google Classroom

Your child has access to Google Classroom where all assignments for math, ELA, science and social studies are shared. Below is a tutorial created by Mrs. Boyle we strongly encourage all parents to view and reference should they have questions about Google Classroom. Please take the time to view the tutorial and let us know if you have any questions.
