KaguThe kagu is a rare, flightless bird, endemic to New Caledonia. Without any natural predators to get the kagu to utilize their wings, over time, they just became flightless. However, now humans have invaded this little bird's home, bringing along with them new predators for the kagu to face. The kagu has feathers, a bright orange beak, stripes on its wings, and a crest on its head which pops out when trying to impress a mate. | Our Amazing AnimalsWe would like to feature these amazing animals. The Kagu, Northern Spotted Owl, Red Panda, Red Wolf, and Siberian Tiger. You can also help by donating to Wildlife services! | Northern Spotted OwlThis white spotted bird is a beautiful creature that is becoming less common on this planet. More and more people are cutting down trees that are located in the old-growth forests. These woods are the only home to the Northern Spotted Owl. Without them these owls won't be able to survive. If you ever see a 18 inch brown, white spotted bird, remember to leave it alone. |
