Bring a Vet to School
We are currently organizing an event focused on educating our young students about the incredible service and sacrifice of veterans. We believe that hearing first hand stories from veterans can have a profound impact on our students, helping them to develop a deeper appreciation for the men and women who have served our country. We are seeking veterans who are willing to volunteer their time to speak to our elementary students about their service experiences. This event is scheduled for the days of November 6 & 7 and will take place at the Oak Ridge School in a Special's class. Our hope is that these interactions will not only educate our students but also create a strong sense of patriotism and gratitude. If you are a veteran or know of any veterans who would be interested in participating, please feel free to share this email or provide us with their contact information. We would greatly appreciate their involvement, as it will make a significant difference in the lives of our students. Should you have any questions or require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact Kristin MacDonald at kmacdonald@sandwich.k12.ma.us. We look forward to the possibility of having veterans join us in this important educational endeavor. Thank you for your time and consideration, and we extend our deepest gratitude to all veterans for their service to our nation.
