Chromebook & Learning Kit/School Supply Pick-Up will be Wednesday, Sept 9th, Thursday, September 10th & Friday, September 11th

All of our K-5th grade students who are in need of an electronic device to access their Comprehensive Distance Learning or Online Thrive curriculum will be provided with a school issued Chromebook. Please click on this link to sign up for a day/time to pick up your child's chrome book.

Even if you do not need a Chromebook for your child, please click on the link to schedule a time to pick up your child's Learning Kit & school supplies. All students are receiving school supplies for free this school year and in addition to school supplies the Learning Kit is specifically designed for your child by his or her teacher and will include items like their math book, a whiteboard, writing journal, etc.

When we return to on-site learning, your child will bring these supplies back to school with them. Thank you!

How do I find out who my child's teacher is?

If you have registered your student in our Comprehensive Distance Learning/Hybrid school option, teachers will begin calling home tomorrow, Wednesday, September 9th to introduce themselves & share how you can contact them by phone or email when needed.

Also, if you have the parent app on your phone for ParentVue, you can login now to see who your child's teacher is!

What will the first two week of online learning in the Comprehensive Distance Learning/Hybrid school option look like?

Our first week of school will be focused on connecting with all of our families through Zoom to have one-on-one family & teacher conferences.

  • During this conference your child's teacher will teach you and your child how to access their live Zoom classes through our online learning platform Seesaw. If you are going to have another caregiver/parent/grandparent work with your child during the school day, it would be a good idea to invite them to this conference if possible!
  • There will be no live synchronous teaching lessons this week while teachers are conducting conferences.

  • Students will also have on their own asynchronous learning activities in Seesaw.
  • After assessment is completed, students will be placed in small learning groups for math & reading/writing. Teachers will communicate this with you through our parent communication app in Seesaw.

FREE Breakfast & Lunch K-5

Please help us continue to provide free breakfast and lunch to all of our K-5 students!

Pacific Ridge Elementary School will continue to participate in a Universal Lunch and School Breakfast Program for the current school year (2020-2021). All students enrolled at the Elementary school may participate in the breakfast and lunch program at no charge to them.

For the last two years families have not been required to fill out Free and Reduced Applications. This year, it will be critical for the future of this program that all of our families complete applications. Use the link to complete your Household application for Free and Reduced Meals or you can get a paper copy when you pick up your child's Chromebook & Learning Kit.
