After-School Skiing and Ice Skating Update
As of right now, we are officially in the green!! Woohoo! That being said, we will plan on starting our after-school skiing (Mondays) and ice skating (every other Wednesday for cohorts) next week. We will have our first ice skating cohort be our K-3 students. The following Wednesday, March 3rd we will have our 4th-6th grade ice skaters start. This is all said with the understanding that if we dip back into the yellow COVID level at any point we will have to postpone our after-school activities once again. We will be checking the COVID levels again this Friday to make sure we are still in the "green". If our COVID level has changed from green, we will communicate this to all parents through school messenger email and voicemail. Thank you for your patience with this and we look forward to beginning our after-school cross country skiing and ice skating programs.
4th - 6th Grade Spelling Bee - February 25th
We will have our school Spelling Bee on Thursday, February 25th. The Champion from the School Bee will go on to compete in the State Bee which will be held (virtually) on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. In place of our normal Spelling Bee Study Group, we received a great online tool from Marjorie Dunn at West Homer Elementary to share with our students to help them practice. 2 Masks Needed at School
Just a reminder that students need two masks at school. One for the morning portion of the day and then usually, another dry mask is needed after recess due to wetness. Thank you!
Substitutes Needed
Click the button below for a rewarding opportunity to work with students K-6th grade. Not only has KPBSD increased the substitute pay but you get to say where and when you are available to work. Questions? Contact Joy at (907) 235-8181 or click the button below for more details.
Inkjet Cartridge Recycling
Our school can raise money by collecting used inkjet printer cartridges. Cartridges may be collected from home, a parent’s place of employment, and from their co-workers. Please drop used cartridges off at the front office. Thanks for helping our school with this recycling project.
