Partnering With Parents For Student Achievement
January Edition

A "Message" from the Principal
Happy New Year, Ramily! We have made it to 2022 and are nearing the end of our first semester of in person learning and the official grading period. This new year brings us a season of hope, joy, experiences and opportunities. We all have an opportunity to make changes that will allow us to become better in various areas of our lives. This new year allows us to refocus our efforts on improving our health, relationships, communities and our commitments to being the very best version of ourselves. In our efforts to focus on our health and safety, we would like your support in monitoring your child's health each day. If you, your high school scholar or anyone in your household is feeling ill or has been in contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19, please contact the school and keep your scholar home to quarantine. The health and safety of all is our priority. It will take the efforts of each of us to ensure that we get through this pandemic safely. Continue to encourage your scholar to wear masks when they are on our campus, in the classrooms and hallways. We understand that scholars are getting tired of wearing them, but we must all comply in order to keep each other healthy and safe and stop the spread.
The first semester officially ends for high school scholars on January 13, 2022. This will serve as the final date for any assignments to be turned in to teachers for credit. Please speak with your scholar to ensure that they have gone through to complete any and all missing assignments, as well as, reach out to their teachers for additional support. The week of January 10-13 will serve as our final exam week for the high school. As such, we will dismiss at 10:40 a.m. those days and will not have Late Start Wednesday at the high school. This will provide scholars with a final opportunity to improve their grades and pass their classes for the semester. Please support our efforts and encourage your child to do their very best to finish strong for the first semester. January 14, 2021 will serve as a teacher work day, in which grades will be finalized for the semester. Students will not have virtual classes on January 14 or January 17, as we celebrate the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Scholars will return to campus for the second semester on January 18, 2022. Please have your scholar to check their SIS portal to see their new schedules for the second semester.
As always, we are a RAMily, we are one through it all. Thank you all for your continued support throughout this first semester. Stay safe, remain healthy and know that we are here for each of you every step of the way. Our Ramily ROCKS!
