Educational Reform
19th century
WHY?
-The significance of this reform was to have more children receive the education that they deserved
-Basically at this point in time only the rich children were getting a good education while the poor children would maybe go to school 10 weeks out of the year.
-The education reform changed that so that ALL children would get an equal education
-This created public schools
