Pretending to be animals from The Mitten!

We were inside the mitten just like the animals in the story.
LANGUAGE ARTS
Reading Literature - With modeling and support, we will retell familiar stories and poems.
Speaking/Listening and Foundational Skills - With modeling and support, we will participate in collaborative conversations with diverse partners about Pre-K topics and text with peers and adults in small and larger groups.
Writing - We will demonstrate an understanding of story structure.
Mathematics in Quarter 3
Numbers to Ten - We will count verbally to 10 by ones and identify written numerals 0-10.
Shapes and Measurement - We will group shapes by attributes.
Number Sets to Ten and Operations - We will recognize the number of objects in a set without counting.
We sorted, counted, compared and drew our buttons and numbers!
SCIENCE/SOCIAL STUDIES
Based on data gathered, students will describe the observable properties of familiar objects, such as; size, shape, color and texture.
Modeling our dresses!
We showed our creativity in the Mrs. Bobbin's dress shop by piecing different fabrics together to make our masterpiece!
Mrs. Bobbin's is sick!
The dressmakers bravely delivered the dresses to the duchess in a snow storm.
Celebration Time!
The duchess was so pleased with her new dress that she let us participate in the ball. We had fun dancing!
Process Drama
We ended the process drama, "Brave Irene". After the drama, we wrote about what happened at the beginning, middle and end. Please use the pictures above to have your child retell their experience as dress makers. We had an amazing adventure!
Party food is the best!
We made heart crowns.

Valentine's Day Party!
We would like to thank all the families that donated their time to come out and help with the party! We would also thank you for all your donations and special moments you created for all the children in our class! You are the greatest! You all have truly modeled the spirit of the day with so much love and generosity!
We each delivered special cards to our friends.
We ate lots of yummy foods!
We won prizes playing BINGO!
