STEM Stars of the Week

STEM Students of the Week were hosted by the Amazon Fulfillment Center. Congratulations to Andrew Huber (HMSH), Elizabeth Hernandez (FBMS), Haili Tyson (YHS), and Steven House (YES). These students, along with Dr. Burns and Dr. Grooms, toured the robotics fulfillment center and heard from many guests speakers.

Flashes of Sportsmanship

The Florida High School Athletic Association has announced the recipients of this year’s Fred E. Rozelle Sportsmanship Award. This award recognizes schools that promote sportsmanship both on and off the field, the award is given to schools whose athletic teams demonstrated exemplary sportsmanship during the 2018-2019 regular season as well as FHSAA State Series competition. Congratulations to Hilliard Middle-Senior High School for being selected as the Class 1A Runner-Up.

Summertime Learning

Michelle Thompson, Sarah Faircloth, Christina Horton, and Elizabeth Quigley enjoyed their summer professional development at the Thinking Maps workshop held at the District Office.

Chalk & Ink Calligraphy

Mrs. Mosley, Hilliard Middle-Senior High, had some help from a former student, Logan Geiger Lovell, to prepare her classroom for this year. Logan created a chalk and ink calligraphy theme in Mrs. Mosley's Digital Media Classroom.
