Examples of Not-so-Good Rules
Most of these make better procedures or expectations!
Are these really rules?
The short answer is "no!" But in a classroom out there, these were listed as rules.
Be a leader
Work before play
Do your best
Think before speaking and acting
Work hard and have fun
Begin with the end in mind
Be respectful
No spitting on the floor
No food, drink, or candy in the classroom (only water)
Be on time
Let's all get along
Ask and answer questions
Share new ideas
Listen twice as much as you speak
Be prepared for class
Mind your own business
Root for others
Believe in yourself
Always be respectful
Try new things
Be honest with everyone
Share and take turns
Keep moving forward
No pushing and touching
No horseplay
Be ready to learn
No yelling, use inside voices
No bullying
Eyes forward and listen
No cheating
Have good manners
Respect others
Raise your hand
