MCES Weekly Top Five For Parents
UPDATES AND REMINDERS FOR THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 30
MONTCLAIR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL’S WEEKLY TOP 5 FOR PARENTS-NOVEMBER 30
A Message from Administration
Greetings Montclair Families,
The administration team and the staff members at Montclair Elementary School would like to thank you for your continued support for our community during this Virtual Learning model. We want to remind you of a few details concerning the remainder of the school year.
Firstly, as we are possibly be moving forward with Plan B in January, we need your help with preparing the students for their return. Please practice and emphasize the essential hygienic and safety protocols with your child that will be expected of them once they return to school. The sanitary and protection protocols include:
- Washing their hands.
- Wearing their facemask.
- Waiting for six feet apart from others.
- Coughing and sneezing into the folds are their arms.
- Keeping a water bottle as they will not be able to drink from our water fountains.
Please emphasize to your child that they take these safety measures seriously.
Next, we would like to keep you all informed as much as possible about the changes and updates that come from CCS or our school. One of the ways that we utilize communication with our families is the Parent Link tool. If you have not been receiving correspondence, please make sure that your contact information remains updated with us. If you have opted out of receiving Parent Link text or phone calls, please be sure to opt back in so that you will stay informed. To unblock/opt-in: Call the ParentLink Hotline at 855.502.7867 and select Option 2 to opt back in. The user must call from the number that is blocked to change the status. It is super important that all of our numbers for students, parents, and employees are updated and current. This will allow us to use the PowerSchool/ParentLink system to its fullest potential.
Lastly, for those parents who joined us for our Plan B Q &A session last night from 6:00-7:00 PM, we thank you for your questions. We hoped that we had added some clarity about our possible transition to Plan B. If any parent was unable to make last night's session and has questions about Plan B, I have attached the parent presentation above in the Top Five. In the presentation, you can find a link to a document that will record your questions, and the administration team will answer them as quickly as possible. Please be on the lookout for any emails sent by Mrs. Powell as they will serve as another way to keep you all updated as we continue our possible transition into Plan B.
We encourage you to contact us about any questions, comments, or concerns you may have moving forward, as, in any relationship, communication is critical.
"None of us, including me, ever do great things. But we can all do small things, with great love, and together we can do something wonderful." – Mother Teresa.
