Welcome to March 2023. This month is Re-Registration! You can now Save Your Spot for the 2023-2024 school year. We also have an in-person event to show support for Virtual Education. We hope you join us for the March 3rd Digital Learning Day at the Capitol. This month students are competing in the Semi-Regional and Regional K12 Spelling Bees, Esports Matches happening weekly, CTSO stories or students leadership and more! Remember our WAVA Leprechaun Challenge? It is back, students can build a Leprechaun Trap and share to the WAVA Padlet on 02/17! This month National Awareness Days include Womens' History Month, National Reading, Disability Awareness, Reading Month and MS Awareness. Congrats again to the following students: top in Stride for Esports Fall League. Congrats to Josiah Lyons, Foster Petersen, Noah Lyons, Tyler Guanio as some of our MVP honored team members and WAVA for placing as Best School. Meet Shelley Sears, WAVA Special Programs Administrator
Shelley Sears has been teaching and involved in education since 1992. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Special Education Technology, Psychology and a certificate in Educational Administration. She has been in special education teaching and life skills, resource and emotional/behavior classrooms oth in Washington and Georgiaa Shelley has worked in a private practice for Child, Marriage and Famiy therapy and later as a school therapist. Shelley and her family just finished building a house and enjoy reading, traveling, walking the dog and gardening. Learn more about our Special Programs today!
