The Metric System
Meters to Liters.
Rain is really coming down heavy here. At this rate, it's gonna take quite a while to pour a Gigaliter. Remember that one Gigaliter is equivelant to 1,000,000,000 liters.
Grams to liters.
Pictured here is a rough method the thieves may have attempted. You can see the gold being poured into molds. A successful heist led to an escape with 2,590 Ml, or 2.590 L.
Gallons to Liters.
Here you can see the empty wave pool. Quite massive, leaking over a million liters of water.
Factor lable
There is one easy way to convert customary measurements to metric units and the other way around. It is called the factor labeling method. The first step of the factor labeling mehtod is to set up your problem. So to go from liters to milliliters, set up your problem like I do, try and do it.
1 Liter 1,000 ml
---------- x --------------
1 Liter 1,000 ml
---------- x --------------
1 1 L
The liters cancel each other out, so you have 1 times 1,000 ml. That would leave you with 1,000 milliliters per liter, which is a correct conversion.
