AEHS WEEKLY NEWSLETTER
December 11, 2022
As a reminder, interim grades are due Thursday, December 15. Please be sure to view your students' progress using ParentVue, and/or you can always reach out directly to the teacher(s). Also, please remember that a student who earned a D or E in a class at the end of MP1, AND who earns an E in MP2, will fail the class for the semester. With this in mind, please be sure to stay abreast of your students' performance and reach out to their teachers to learn how they can be successful in classes they are not doing well in.
Also as a reminder, on Wednesday, December 14, students will be registering for classes for School Year 23-24. Students in grades 9-11 will have Academic Advisement in periods 1-7. The Academic Advisement Memo shared below provides information to help with identifying courses and course pathways for students.
As a heads up to students who drive to school, last week both the Montgomery County and Park Police visited related to students who drive and park in the neighborhood and/or in Newport Mill Park. Our neighbors have contacted them to report that some drivers are parking illegally. While the school does not have any jurisdiction over the park or community parking, we want to let our students know that we were informed that ticketing and towing will begin this week for cars parked illegally in the community and/or in the park. Questions or concerns should be directed to MCPD or MC Park Police.
Have a great week!

MCPS continues to work diligently alongside local government authorities and community partners on a comprehensive and coordinated approach to this dangerous (continue reading ...)
