Analyzing Student Performance
During our October 6 Superintendent's Conference Day, teachers took a close look at student performance data from the NYS tests. This included a review of the data from 2019-2023 with a close look at student performance on individual standards as well as overall proficiency rates. This information will be used to help inform our instruction for 2023-2024 school year.
Parents: Mark your calendars for a unique Social Media speaker at HCS
On October 26 Max Stossel will be on hand to speak with Middle and High School students throughout the day with a special session for parents at 6:00p.m. in the HCS Auditorium. As an industry insider Max has valuable information for parents regarding the world of Social Media. Max has ran Social Media for some big brands and later worked for a social media company. He also is the Youth and Education Advisor for the Center for Humane Technology, an organization that was featured in the Netflix documentary "The Social Dilemma." If your kids are currently on Social Media or they are reaching an age where you may consider allowing this, this event will provide some eye opening insight every parent can use.
