Test the Strength of Spider Webs
Intended Age Groups: Pre-K, K-2, 3-5
Spiders have the ability to create strong (and beautiful!) webs. Students will make two different spider webs to explore the strength of materials and learn about spider silk as they play.
Explore spider webs and their tensile strength – the ability to resist breaking under pressure – in this experiment. Test different materials and find out which material is stronger.
Please complete the RSVP link to reserve your kit. Kits for this activity will be available to pick up at Riverview IU#6 between April 28-May 5.
Mosaic Art
Intended Age Groups: Pre-K, K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12
Mosaics are beautiful pictures made from colorful tiles of different shapes and sizes. Participants will make an inspiring mosaic that they can share with family and friends.
Creating a mosaic is a great calming activity as it requires planning and patience. It’s also a great way to explore colors and shapes. Once the mosaic is complete, it will be a stunning work of art that can be proudly displayed.
Please complete the RSVP link to reserve your kit. Kits for this activity will be available to pick up at Riverview IU#6 between April 28-May 5.

Oobleck: The Dr. Seuss Science Experiment
Intended Age Groups: Pre-K, K-2, 3-5
If you like slime, you will love Oobleck! Using just cornstarch and water, we will make this "sticky" "gloppy" substance and like a scientist, observe how it responds to water. Is Oobleck a liquid or a solid? THAT is the question.
Let’s have some “messy” FUN learning like a scientist! We will explore, observe, and record the unique properties of Oobleck to determine if it is a solid or a liquid.
We'll make this “sticky”, “gloppy” substance that the magicians made for King Derwid of Didd in Dr. Seuss’s famous book Bartholomew and the Oobleck.
We want to highlight your students!
We want to highlight your Remake Learning Days hands-on fun, science, maker/art projects, and share with our community.
