The Weekly Hoot
August 19 - 25, 2013
Greetings All -
Whew! What a week! These past three days have been "full" for sure! I so enjoyed our convocation and two guest speakers on Wednesday, and it was so helpful for me to re-hear about the McCrel teacher observation system again. The more I hear about it, the more I learn, and the more I get excited about the opportunities for growth that it holds for teachers.
This week will be "full" as well. Please see below on the calendar of events for schedules this week. Remember it is casual week this week except for Thursday night at Meet the Teacher.
I also would like to take the time to introduce our two new employees that were hired this week. Mrs. Linda Jolly will be our new instructional assistant in PK. She is also a transportation aide and has substituted for us. Ms. Bridget Coronado will be our new PE instructional assistant. Please join me in welcoming these two great ladies.
I know all of us are feeling a little overwhelmed right now. I certainly am right there with you. I said it yesterday, and I will continue to say it. We are a team. We will hold each other up. We will be there for one another. And, believe it or not, I think once we realize that most of what we are thinking is "new" is really just repackaging what we already do, we will like and appreciate the system we have in place for teacher and student growth.
Everyone have a great weekend! I will see you bright and early Monday morning in your spirit shirt and jeans!
Soaring with you this year,
Marcy
