VOLUNTEER NEEDS
Donations Needed
If anyone is heading to the store this weekend and has the resources to purchase a few extra items ... we are looking for snack donations. This snack supply will be used for students who do not bring a snack from home. Specifically, the school needs pre-packaged, peanut free snacks. These can be dropped in the office or sent to school with your student. Please label your donation with "school snack supply."
Classroom Liaisons
We are looking for a Classroom Liaison for each teacher. Classroom Liaisons serve a key role in the school, acting as a link between the teacher and the parent volunteers. While things will look unique this year, it’s a role that helps with coordination and communication between the teacher and all of the classroom parents.
Teacher Appreciation
Looking for a rewarding way to volunteer? Join a fun team and help plan the 2020-2021 school year staff appreciation events. We’re just getting started, so now is the time to get in on the ground floor! We accept anyone, regardless of availability. There is no time requirement and there are a variety of roles available. Have some great ideas but not sure about the time commitment? Join the team as an Idea Generator!
All volunteer opportunities are posted on Better Impact.
SPIRIT WEAR - ORDERS DUE BY OCTOBER 1
All orders are due by Friday, October 1. Order forms are included in the NRCO packet that went home last week.
If you can't find it, click here for the digital copy.
NO GUEST BUS RIDERS
This procedure is in place to aid with COVID bus capacity and contract tracing.
Thank you for understanding.
TALENTED & GIFTED (TAG) INFORMATION
Every year students are considered for Talented and Gifted services in the Beaverton School District. These services are provided by your child's classroom teacher(s). Oregon law and District policy define gifted students as those who score at or above the 97th percentile on a standardized, nationally normed test of mental ability and/or academic achievement in reading and/or math. Behavioral, learning, and/or performance information is also considered before a student is identified for TAG services.
If you think your child might qualify for TAG services, you may wish to complete the Parent Information Form that is available in our school’s office linked below. Completing this form gives our school TAG Committee more information about your child, but it is not required. All qualified students will be considered regardless of the form’s completion.
Please complete and return the Parent Information Form to your the office.

INTERNATIONAL WALK + ROLL TO SCHOOL DAY
On October 6, 2021 join people from around the world as we celebrate International Walk + Roll to School Day. Walk, bike, scooter, skate, roll, bus or carpool to school and be entered to win fun prizes. The grand prize winner will earn a new scooter with helmet! Walking and rolling to school is great for kids, our community and our planet. Here are the top five reasons:
- Fewer vehicles driving to school reduces traffic congestion and carbon emissions near schools and in our parking lots.
- More people walking and rolling builds school community and makes routes safer.
- Physical activity boosts kids’ readiness to learn and improves their physical and mental health.
- Kids have fun with friends and bond with families while walking and rolling together.
- Being outside builds independence and lifelong transportation skills.
