8 Facts About Copyright

1. Copyright is the right of an author/creator to protect his work.

2. Copyright is only active until 70 years after the creator/authors death.

3. Under the fair use act it is not plagiarism to use someone else work for news reporting, criticism, and teaching with some limitations.

4. Some items can not be copyrighted like ideas, non written speeches, procedures, concepts and methods.

5.You can use other peoples work for other things but only under the authors permission.

6.There is one place where all things are not copyrighted, that's the public domain where everything can be used freely.

7.Copyright infringement is when someone breaks the rules of copyright.

8.All works before 1923 are in the public domain
