Week of March 17!

All about St. Patrick's Day!

We celebrated St. Patrick's Day this week by creating Leprecaun trap stories, creating Bingo boards, and reading the stories as leprechauns using Chatterpix! Everyone did a great job writing their leprechaun trap stories. We are working on correct sentence structure including: capitals, periods, question marks and exclamation points. While reading with your child please stop and ask them to point out to you the capitals, sentence endings, etc. and have them use the correct terminology! You also can have them identity nouns and verbs to you from their reading! This is great practice for them!

At Specials:

Art: completed their camelon projects that included step by step direction and watercolor paints

Music: began their musical Jack and the Beanstalk and were given their designated roles and instruments

Spanish: watched a quick video on Mexico cities and did three different centers including matching syllables, Spanish color Bingo and a matching game

P.E: free choice stations (scooters, basketball, etc.)

Tech: completed their All About Me books using Maxshow (PowerPoint)

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Science Fair! Friday March 27! 3:00

Science Fair Info!

Please have them bring their Science Fair Boards on....or before next Friday morning! Before they present to you we will practice in class, and for the Pre-K students. Science Fair will be held in our classroom next Friday at 3:00. Please arrive promptly with family members if you like. The students will remain at their board the entire duration of the Science Fair, and tell all the parents and family members about their projects! I hope everyone can make it! It is one of the best days of the Kindergarten year! Feel free to reach out of if you have any questions on completion of the projects! Most importantly, remember to have your child sound out the words that go on their board so they are able to read it! :)
