got 3 minutes?
sunday . march 29
Three minutes a day can give you 24 hours of peace.
3-Minute Retreats invite you to take a short prayer break right at your computer. Spend some quiet time reflecting on a Scripture passage.
Knowing that not everyone prays at the same pace, you have control over the pace of the retreat. After each screen, a 'Continue' button will appear. Click it when you are ready to move on. If you are new to online prayer, the basic timing of the screens will guide you through the experience.
Lisa M. Hendey shares her reflection on today’s retreat:
During this time of the Lenten season, my prayers often turn to those in my parish who are journeying toward receiving their Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil. In so many ways, these newcomers are a light to those who have been sitting in the pews for years. They come to us with varying paths and different stories – some lovingly supported in their conversion, but others facing the wrath and derision of family and friends who can’t figure out why they have suddenly "found religion." Their conscious choice to brave the demands of a Christian way of life reminds me never to become complacent in living out my discipleship. Lord, in the moments of bliss but also the moments of battle, help me to stand with and for you.
