Principal's Notes and Highlights
CSA Students and Families,
I hope everyone had a wonderful summer! Michelle and I had an opportunity to travel to Savannah, Georgia for a short vacation which was really fun. Most of our time was spent here with family and friends. As Calvin gets older, we are becoming more involved in the community. I really enjoyed getting to visit with many of you at pool parties, cookouts, the Columbus Farmer’s Market, swim lessons, the Bartholomew County Fair and other community events. Many expressed excitement about the school year starting soon and I am equally ready for our students to return. The 2017-2018 school year promises to be our best year yet and I am committed to ensuring that your student(s) have an amazing year!
Below are a few updates and announcements you should be aware of as we start the school year. Please enjoy these last two weeks!
We look forward to seeing you at our Open House on Tuesday, August 1st, 2017. All are welcome between 5:30-6:30 p.m.
The first student day is Wednesday, August 2nd. School will start promptly at 7:45 a.m.
- If you are a new family to CSA Lincoln, please be sure to visit the welcome table in the gym on the first floor.
We will be available to help complete lunch and textbook assistance forms if needed.
- Bus drivers will be available to answer your transportation questions.
The first student day will be Wednesday, August 2nd. School starts promptly at 7:45 AM.
Please review the arrival and dismissal procedures.
Everyone will receive a new car tag this year. They will be sent home with your student packet on the first student day.
I've included a short video on how to look up your bus information. I would wait until the week before school to check this.
Please welcome Mrs. Heather Pickup and Mrs. Bethany Sedziol as our new kindergarten teaching assistants! Mrs. Nickerson retired over the summer and Mrs. Burt will be a Special Education teaching assistant this year. Mrs. Pickup will be in Mrs. Aldrich’s room and Mrs. Sedziol will work with Miss Deyerling.
Here are the Class Supply Lists. Click the tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet to find your grade level. It is essential for each child to have a good pair of headphones to use on a daily basis. I would highly recommend labeling them with your child’s name.
I look forward to a great year working with you and your student! Please let me know if you need anything.
Brett
