Kindergarten Screening
Families moving on to kindergarten next year will soon be receiving information to attend Kindergarten Screening on May 5th or May 6th. Kindergarten screening a is brief assessment, usually 20 minutes in length, where a kindergarten teacher will work with your child to learn about their academic, social, and emotional skills. Kindergarten screening is not a readiness test, but rather a tool that assists the school with an appropriate placement for your child and, in some instances, can begin to identify areas of concern.
Please be on the lookout for Kindergarten Screening information from your child’s elementary school. This information will contain more details about Kindergarten Screening, an appointment time, and contact information if you have further questions.
