The LISD Rapport: Community Newsletter
LISD Families,
Happy new year! A new year brings new reasons to celebrate one another, and I’ve loved being on campuses over the last couple of weeks to welcome students back from break. I’ve seen so many enriching and innovative learning experiences taking place in our schools to kick off the spring semester, and I can’t wait to see what our students achieve for the second half of the school year.
Speaking of celebrations, January is School Board Appreciation month. At Tuesday’s board meeting we recognized the commitment each of them have made to our district. Check out the board meeting recap below to see how students and staff shared their appreciation.
In my video message to you below, I share a few reminders about our winter weather communication procedures, as well as an update about where we are with bond planning since the approval from our community of more than $1 billion in bond funds. And there are many more updates from around the district, so please keep reading.
I am looking forward to engaging and inspiring learners and leaders in 2024, and I’m so grateful to be a part of this incredible district.
Dr. Lori Rapp
