Tigger: My brother Jamie was affectionately named "Tigger" because he had the energy of a box of firecrackers all lit at the same time- bouncing around like crazy. Like the character from Winnie the Pooh, there was "no one else like him." Looking back at this photo of us together at Grandpa's makes me happy, but I continue to wonder how Jamie sat still long enough for the picture not to blur.
Seeing Good in the World
The World We Choose teaches children that the world is mostly improving, and that the way to make sure it continues, is to pay attention to the good all around us.
Television news mostly reports on the bad things that happen every day, but we can choose a positive story and make it a reality. In this book, the rhyming story and light-filled illustrations focus on positive things like better medicine, peaceful protests, and improved literacy.
The World We Choose focuses on the good things about our planet and encourages—and empowers!—kids to make our future even brighter.
