A Message from Mr. H.
During this time of giving thanks, I want our entire Moreau Hall family to know how truly thankful I am for all that you do to make our school a great place to learn! Our Be The Difference Direct Donation Campaign shed light on what a truly remarkable community we have supporting our students. For the second year in a row, I was blown away by the generosity of our Moreau Hall Family. The $10,412.40 will go a long way in supporting our programming here at school.
Have a very happy Thanksgiving! I hope you have time this holiday season to enjoy the company of family and friends.

Community Service at Moreau Hall
Our Moreau Hall Hawks are involved in helping their community on a regular basis. Each grade level has a positive relationship with a local charity and they work hard to have a lasting impact on their community. We are proud of the work they have done, and will continue to do, to help those in need of our help! A big thank you must go to Mrs. Sullivan for coordinating our community service efforts!
Our Kindergarten classes hosted one of our biggest food drives in recent history during the month of October. They collected 16 boxes of food to be donated to the Easton Food Pantry! Thank you to our Parent Advisory Council for donating $250.00 to the Easton Food Pantry in support of our food drive. We have such a supportive community!

Veterans Day
We care very deeply about our veterans here at Moreau Hall. Our students, faculty, and staff will be participating in an assembly on Tuesday, November 7th at 9:30 am to better understand the importance of this special day. We have invited veterans from our Moreau Hall family to join us in order to recognize and honor their service to our country. If you have a veteran in your family and you would like to participate in our assembly, please email Mrs. Donna Sullivan, MH School Secretary, or call us at 508-230-3235. There will be a small reception for our veterans and their families immediately following the assembly. Thank you to all of our wonderful veterans! Email Mrs. Sullivan at dsullivan@easton.k12.ma.us

Ooch The Yo-Yo Man Visits MH!
Today, we had a special visit from “Ooch” for an all-school assembly. He performed his show, "Doin’ what you love and succeeding". This show is about opening our minds to the possibility of ACTUALLY DOING what we love when we grow up. It talks about combining our dreams with our superPOWERS (positive talents or traits that we were born with) and our passions (favorite things to do). Finding a way to make all three elements work together will help us find (or create) professions that will truly fulfill us.
The show also discussed -
The importance of ‘breaking away’ from the norm and being confident in your individuality.
‘Rising above the nonsense’ by being kind, no matter what.
The importance of learning from our ‘failures’.
Learning to ‘multitask’ by being good at more than JUST one thing.
“Just Imagine” the possibilities!
This enrichment program was made possible through your support and the fundraising efforts of the Moreau Hall PAC.
Be The Difference - Direct Donation Campaign
MH Hawks not only reached their goal for the Direct Donation Campaign, they exceeded it. Final count was $10,412.40!!!
A huge THANK YOU to all the parents, family members, friends and staff who generously contributed to this fundraiser. All of the amazing activities and events that the kids (and us) get to enjoy and learn from couldn't happen without your support. We are very fortunate to live in such a caring and invested community.
Some classrooms earned extra recess and the whole school participated in Silly Stringing Mr. Higgins on the day of the Ice Cream Social. The video is below!
Thank you again...and have a wonderful weekend.

Bucket Fillers
Each morning at Moreau Hall, Mr. Higgins leads our students in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and the Bucket Filler’s Pledge. We do this to remind ourselves that it is important to be a good citizen of our class, our school, and our community. Over the course of the school year Mr. Higgins announces the names of Bucket Fillers during our morning pledge. Being a Bucket Filler can be doing something as simple as making someone smile by complimenting them. You can find the Bucket Filler’s Pledge below. Please encourage your child to share what they know about being a “bucket filler.”
Bucket Filler's Pledge
I promise
to do my best every day
to be a bucket filler,
not to dip,
and to use my lid
for myself and others
at home,
at School,
and everywhere I go.
Mr. Dennison’s Music Notes
By October, music classes have settled into the routines of a 40 minute period. Kindergarten classes were introduced to some of the classroom instruments we will use - finger drums, maracas, tambourines, sand blocks, bells, and rhythm sticks. I use traditional or “known” songs with K to encourage them to sing and participate. 1st graders are gaining confidence with their solo singing voices. They should be able to explain (and play!) the game Scarecrow in the Garden with you at home. 2nd graders learned their first rhythm sign (ta), which means one sound on one beat. This is a quarter note in music notation. Thanks for reading!

Ice Cream Social and Art Exhibit
The Moreau Hall community enjoyed another wonderful school tradition on October 27th. Our annual Ice Cream Social and Art Exhibit was a big hit! Thank you to all who donated prizes for our basket raffle. Thanks to Rachel Rhodes for taking the donations from families and teachers and turning them into such beautiful basket raffle prizes. Thanks to Kristen Finch and Colleen Pantazelos for coordinating the most delicious part of the evening! Thank you also to our wonderful volunteers for scooping and topping the sundaes. We can’t forget the amazing artwork that was so beautifully displayed around the gym! Thanks to Mr. Krasenbrink for his efforts while working with our students. I saw many proud artists showing off their work to family and friends.
Easton Public Schools Activity Fee
Each year we ask families to pay an activity fee, which goes to support various activities in town. For Moreau Hall, the biggest activity that is supported through this fee is our connection to Sheep Pasture. In addition to our students going to Sheep Pasture in the spring, the teachers from this great program visit Moreau Hall during the winter to work with each classroom. It is a fantastic learning experience for our students.
The Kindergarten fee for this year is included in K Tuition. The activity fee for grades 1 & 2 students is $40. Please click the link below to pay the fee by October 6th.Mrs. Hassan's Nurse News
First and Second Graders will have Vision and Hearing Screenings done on Tuesday, November 14th. If students have glasses, they must wear them to school.
Cold and flu season is upon us! Please encourage your children to cover any coughs and wash their hands regularly to reduce the spread of germs. Another great way to prevent illness this winter is to get a flu shot. Check with your child’s pediatrician for the best option for your child. We want all of our students happy, healthy, and in school every day! Thank you!
Hawks of the Month
We announced our October Hawks of the Month yesterday, and I am so proud of them! These students were selected because of their positive attitudes. We are so proud of the bucket filling attitude they posses each and every day. They come to school excited and energized about learning and they stay motivated, even when things don’t go well. Our October recipients include Jason Powers, Sloane Mullen, Olivia Baroncelli, Alex Clark, Heydon Whiteside-Mayor, Teagan Gaito, Hailey Fossouo, Julianna Flynn, Addy Victoria, Bodhi Fuller, and Max Flanagan. Our Hawks and their guests will be treated to a breakfast celebration ceremony thanks to our friend Mike Asack at North Easton Savings Bank on Wednesday, November 29 at 9:30 in our Library.
