'FREI'DAY FLYER

Another Busy Week
The BFFs (Best Frei's Forever) class has had another busy week. We continue to really work on our reading stamina and are beginning to respond to literature that we read by asking ourselves the question of what's going on in the story? Students are learning to 'read like gold'. Take some time and ask your child what that means!
We took our first Social Studies test on communities and completed our first week of Words Their Way. Just a reminder that you should be signing off on your student sheet either on Tuesday or Thursday.
If you have any questions about anything you see or don't understand please do not be afraid to ask!
Google Coming Along
We are working together to put a Tumblebook book review together on google presentation. This will be shared with you upon completion next week.

Reminders
- Read at least 20 min. This week we work on visualizations and creating movies in our minds. Students should be practicing these skills at home as well.
-If your student has a book bag they should be reading that book every night and working on fluency (how they read, without errors and expression). You should see a improvement in the reading throughout the week.
-Spelling folders come home on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please sign off that you saw the lists on the sheet in their folders.
-Absent students have been doing a wonderful job of checking in with me by email to let me know they are going to be absent. I will try and send them some updates about what we are doing in class that day that they can do if they are feeling well enough to!
-Students may work on Raz Kids, Dreambox, and Moby Max at home on their home time if you are looking for additional things for them to do at home.
ENJOY THE WEEKEND!
