Counselor's Corner
School-wide “Be Kind” activities will take place this week and will be announced during our morning announcements. Remind students that, “no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” Start the month out by being kind to yourself and then spread the love.
Check out The Random Acts of Kindness website, https://www.randomactsofkindness.org/ for some fantastic free lesson plans and inspiration, broken down by grade level.

This Week in AVID...
This Week in AVID - February 10, 2020
Students are much more engaged when we give them time for discussion that is productive and rigorous instead of doing all the talking ourselves. Of course, there is accountability built in to these structured conversations. There are many ideas for generating classroom conversations around content in the AVID Google Classroom Page. HERE is the direct link to a collection of AVID strategies that get kids talking.
