If you have selected face-to-face instructions for your child. I need your assistance to fill out a short transportation survey to assist the FBISD Transportation Department to obtain data that i more accurate for students who have selected face-to-face instructions and need bus transportation.

The following message is from FBISD Transportation Department
Fort Bend ISD’s transportation department has been diligently working to verify eligibility and develop routes for students who selected face-to-face instruction. Please note that while transportation routes for eligible student are currently posted in this online tool, future transportation may not be guaranteed due to social distancing and driver availability. FBISD’s transportation department will be sending automated phone calls to parents who are eligible for transportation and who have selected face-to-face instruction within 48 hours of their student’s F2F start date. Should you have any questions, please contact FBISD Transportation at (281) 634-4077.

Announcing: Online Certificate Program
We are thrilled to announce our new program: the LaunchX Online Certificate Program - Becoming a Startup Entrepreneur.
Our online certificate program allows you to explore entrepreneurship while tapping into your potential as an ambitious high school student. We bring together a group of promising young entrepreneurs from around the globe to our online platform to take part in the course materials, meet weekly through discussion groups, and take part in webinars, all while building real products and solving business challenges in meaningful and viable ways.
Key Components and Logistics:
- Your startup - you develop the foundation of a real startup
- Course materials - robust LaunchX course materials including videos, webinars with Q&A, awesome simulations, and startup assignments
- Discussion groups - you come together with peers each week to discuss the materials plus for peer feedback
- Prize money - seed funding of $5,000 and $2,500 to the winner and runner-up startups, respectively!!
- Dates and Timing - the program is eight weeks in length with 5-8 hours per week commitment, starting October 19 and running through December 12
- Pricing - program fee is $2,495 with financial-need support available to qualifying US-based admitted students who apply by the early application deadline
- Application - early application deadline of September 14 and regular application deadline of September 28
Program Differentiators:
- The only program of its kind that is just for high school students giving you a network of like-minded innovators like you
- Strong focus on opportunity identification and market research
- Robust course platform with extensie materials and resources
- Teaching assistants who have been through the process
- Instructors who are both entrepreneurs and educators
- Seed funding of $5,000 and $2,500 awarded to the winner and runner-up startups, respectively
Note: Seed funding cannot be used for personal expenses. It must be used to develop the business cited in the final pitch. The money will be sent to business accounts only.

Attached please find the IBMA Booster Club Membership form for the 2020-2021 school year. As mentioned during the commitment night the booster club is an essential part of assisting with many of the social programs that IBMA hosts throughout the school year. Please join to show your support of the programs.
Also, the booster club has all of their positions open for this upcoming school year. Anyone interested, please contact the booster club, (ibmaboosterclub@gmail.com ) email copied. No experience is needed just a willingness to support the students in the academy. Each position term is for one academic year.

IBMA Enrichment: Austin Foss, Loan Officer for Mutual of Omaha Mortgage
Austin Foss received a Bachelors in Communication from the Dallas Baptist University in hopes of becoming a national Sports Broadcaster. He worked for ESPN as a statistical analyst and production assistant for a few years. However, he eventually grew more interested in banking and financing. Currently, Mr. Foss is a loan officer for Mutual of Omaha Mortgage. In his session, he will give insight on changing his career decisions and what excites him most about what he does.

Details
Organization: Color a smile, a Non-profit organization, 501 (C) (3). Founded in 1986.
Students take printouts from the website, color them and mail it to Color A Smile foundation. Before mailing, Mrs. Chadwick or Mr. Lam needs to approve the hours based on the coloring sheets worked by the students and track it for GSA. The below link explains steps required for tracking volunteer credits. 3 Sheets equals 1 hours of volunteering.
