Principal's Weekly Message

Week in Review
Thank you to all of those who generously donated clothing items for a student in need at Jackson Keller Elementary. There were so many clothes, shoes and jackets that the school was able to give her a load of new winter clothes and they had clothes left over to share with some other little girls who were also in need. The Jackson Keller staff was incredibly grateful for the support of the HFE community!
Our track dedication and Fun Run was today. What an amazing day! We had guests from NEISD, the City of San Antonio, San Antonio Sports Foundation, Hill Country Village City Council, Hollywood Park City Council, and many parents and other guests. We then had our students participate in the Apex Fun Run which was a great fundraiser and physical activity opportunity. We so appreciate the support of our school community in making this a great event once again. See the NEISD story here - http://www.neisd.net/ComRel/news.cfm?ID=1842

Habit of the Week: Habit 6 - Synergize
Habit of the Week: Habit 6~Synergize
Quote of the Week: "In any project the important factor is your belief. Without belief, there can be no successful outcome."-William James
Home Connection: Family Synergy Challenge is here! You will need a blanket that when laid out is not much bigger than all of your family members who are standing on it. You can have a little extra space, but not too much. You want this to be a challenge. If you have a family of 2-3, you could even use a towel. Now have every family member, who is able, stand on the towel/blanket. Work together as a team and try to flip the blanket without anyone getting off. Can your family stand on a blanket and flip it? Tag Hidden Forest Elementary on Facebook or Twitter (@hiddenforestes) to share.
