To be Christ-centered in our words, thoughts, and actions.

As we begin the homestretch of the school year, I hope that all of you had a wonderful Spring Break. More importantly, I hope that you all had a Blessed Easter. Holy Week is one of my favorite times of year, but this year was even more meaningful. I am not sure if it was because I participated in Exodus 90 with a group from church, or if I am just continuing to grow closer to the Lord. Then, to continue the Easter season with Spring Break, gave me a lot of time to relax and reflect on this school year.

We have done some amazing things, sometimes though challenging, and I am proud of all of the work the entire school staff has done in the current times. The children also showed tremendous tenacity and the parents have given us a lot of flexibility and grace.

May the Lord continue to bless and may Mother Mary continue to wrap us in her mantle. Mary, Queen of Angels, Pray for US!

Mr. Wiegmann

This week we look at the virtue of TENACITY - The strength to grip on to a goal and refuse to give up. TENACITY is an awesome strength to have on a team, group and within a family. It’s a joy to be around TENACIOUS leaders.

Thank you, Lord, for this day, this opportunity, this time together. Strengthen our wills and forge our resolve to be more TENACIOUS in our pursuit of excellence in every area of our life.

Big picture

  • In the past, the school policy for wearing shorts was May 1st. After speaking with many other principals, Mr. Wiegmann has changed the policy so that students can begin wearing shorts on April 1st. With that being said, please look at the weather to make sure that the forecast and the temperatures permit for short wearing.

  • Sweaters, Sweatshirts and Fleeces -- According to the school handbook, the only garment to be worn over the school uniform, in school, is a navy blue, royal blue or white solid cardigan sweater with no hoods. Queen of Angels fleece jackets (royal blue or navy blue) and Queen of Angels navy or white crew neck sweatshirts may also be worn. No other outerwear (hoodies, etc) should be worn.

We have had some cold temperatures in our classrooms and many students have been wearing non-uniform sweatshirts and hoodies over their uniform; but for a reasonable price Queen of Angels fleeces and sweatshirts can be purchased from A-R Specialty at the below link:

If you are out and about and find a sale on copy paper, the school is still in need. Please help if you can. If you have already donated, we appreciate your donation.

We have SCRIP in the school office during school hours. Consider buying weekly SCRIP for at least your regular grocery and gas purchases. When you travel and take family vacations, pick up SCRIP for the places you know you will eat. As special celebrations approach and you need a gift for First Holy Communion, Confirmation, graduations, weddings, etc., buy through our SCRIP program rather than giving the local stores your profit. Then use the profit earned towards your child's tuition.

For more information on the SCRIP program visit our website at and look for the SCRIP links.

If your family did not receive an email with the code to re-register your child, please call our office so we can resolve this issue. Meanwhile, those who did should be completing the registration and bringing in your $100 early registration fee. Remember, your registration fee is discounted (50%) until THIS THURSDAY, APRIL 15. After this date, it will return to $200.

If you have another child not attending Queen of Angels this year, who is Preschool-age thru 8th grade, or you know of someone who does, who may be interested in joining our Queen of Angels School Family, please contact us at 260-483-8214 for new student registration information for this next year.

*Remember All overdue fees must be paid in full before your child’s registration will be approved for next year, and they can be included in the class count. Many new families have been registering and are included in the class counts now. So, if we reach our class size limit, we will need to begin a waiting list!

Our school website provides a virtual tour, a sign-up genius for in-person tours, and information on tuition rates, financial aid, and much more.

We are still seeing many students arriving Tardy to school! You may drop off your children any time between 7:50-8:05 and they can go straight to their classrooms. Our Tardy bell rings at 8:10 and any student just walking in the door at that time has a difficult time making it to class by the time announcements start, morning work begins, and then they are counted as Tardy.

Water Bottles- Continue to send your child with a water bottle every day (our water fountains are still closed)

Masks--WE WILL STILL WEAR MASKS IN SCHOOL until the end of the school year. We are also encouraging students to put them in a backpack pocket as they leave the building so there is always one for the next day. Below is information regarding the Governor's announcement on the mask mandate.

“Governor Holcomb has announced that as of April 6, the mask mandate in Indiana will end; however, this does not apply to schools. All K-12 schools must continue to comply with the current mask mandates in place. We all look forward to the days when we will no longer have to wear a mask, but for now, we will all continue to show loving care for one another’s wellbeing.”

Weather- Pay attention to weather--better to send more clothing than less (some recesses are early, before the day has warmed up)

Fr. Zak, Mrs. Meyer and Mr. Wiegmann will participating during Queen of Angels hour for the Redeemer Radio Shareathon. Please consider listening and donating on April 22nd from 4-5pm. The link or you can text the station at 260.436.9598.
