MCPS Art Show May 2nd-7th

We're excited to invite all families to attend the MCPS Student Art Show! This is a wonderful opportunity for families to see the incredible artistic talents of elementary school students from across the county, including more than 30 works from Cold Spring students! The show will feature a variety of mediums and will showcase the unique perspectives and creativity of our young artists. The show will be held on the first floor of Montgomery Mall, from the evening of May 2 - May 7th at 4:00pm. The Cold Spring display will be located near the Lilly Pulitzer shop (the Nordstrom wing of the mall).

National Bike to School/Green Transportation Day

Wednesday, May 3rd is National Bike to School/Cold Spring Green Transportation Day. Students who walk, bike or ride a bus to school that day will get a chance to win a raffle prize. Please encourage the children to participate in this meaningful and fun activity.

Are You Interested in Supporting Lunch & Recess?

Lunch and recess is a time where our students can enjoy social conversation and play. This is the one part of their day where there is a bit less structure and they can relax. We would love to have your support if you are available during this time.

If you would like to volunteer at lunch, recess, or both times, please head to the main office and sign in. You will need your driver's license or photo ID to get a visitor sticker. You will need to wear the sticker while you are volunteering.

The below link is our lunch and recess schedule for the year. Again, we welcome your support!

2022-2023 Lunch & Recess Schedule

Big picture

Lunch Items

We have seen an increase in soda and candy in student lunches. Students are also trying to share these things. Please refrain from sending in these items with your child in their lunch from home. We want to encourage healthy eating habits and food that will give them energy for the remainder of the day. Thank you for your support and help!
Lunch Menu Choices

Check this document which can also be found on our Cold Spring Website, for daily accurate lunch menu choices. If you have any questions or concerns, please email Mr. Legarreta.

Lost & Found Items

We have MANY lost and found items at school. Please make sure to come in and take a look or have your student look for any lost items. We have gone through the items and returned any that were labeled with student names. It is strongly suggested to label your children's clothing, lunch box, and water bottles. This is very helpful when things go missing.

We will be donating any left over clothing to our Cash for Clothing Bin. Please come and check for your things!
