Today's theme is REVERSAL OF FORTUNE!

Hurricane Nicole didn't slow down our warrior Patriots this week! Our scholars came in ready for battle.

Remember on Monday when our fabulous 4th graders claimed 1st place? Well, I'm sorry to say that their opponents brought the heat today and clapped you all the way back to the bottom. With over 900 silver sabotage coins, fourth grade is in lonely, last place with -5193 points.

The eighth grade is still roasty and toasty at the bottom in 8th place.

The fifth grade is chilling with their 8th-grade besties at the bottom in 7th place.

Kindergarten is in 6th place. Come on kinder!

Our sensational 6th graders have also suffered a tragic loss - plummeting from 2nd place to 5th place with -92 points.

Do you know who we need to keep our eyes on? Second grade! Even though they were in 3rd place on Monday, they didn't attract too much attention to themselves, and they've managed to hold steady in 4th place. We see you creeping around 2nd grade!

Seventh grade is distancing themselves from their inferior MYP cohorts. They are in a very respectable 3rd place with 737 points.

The third grade fought the good fight, rocketing to 2nd place with 1321 points.

Lastly, rising from the darkest depths of doom, our fearless first graders clawed their way from last place to first place, with a turnaround so legendary that it will go down in history! They brought in a massive amount today to bring their total to 4232 points. Now that they've painted a giant target on their backs, will they survive Monday?

Thank you to everyone who participated today! We have extended COIN WARS through Thursday, Nov 17 to make up for the days we missed. Have a great weekend!

Beginning on Monday, November 14, 2022, any MYP student who does not have a school ID that day will be sent to the upstairs office to have a replacement ID printed. The scholar's Power School account will then be charged $10.00.

This charge will occur each time a replacement school ID is printed or a Franklin lanyard is given.

It is imperative that all MYP student has his/her ID on every day. It is a part of the Franklin Uniform Policy (page 19). The school ID is only permitted to be worn on the provided Franklin lanyard. Please speak with your scholar about placing the ID in their backpack as soon as school is over. This will eliminate losing the ID or leaving it at home. Thank you!

Communication between school and home is essential to the success of every child and the school. The following chart has been organized to support positive communication between home and school. Specific requests (conferences, etc.) must be in writing, by email, or a phone message must be left at the office for the specific teacher. Parents/Guardians are requested to notify school personnel in the following sequence if there are concerns:

If you are experiencing issues accessing Clever and/or HMH from home, the problem is usually caused by conflicting credentials on your personal device.

For your student(s) to access the HMH products at home, it is very important that you log out of your personal Gmail accounts before your child logs into Clever.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

- If you are using Google Chrome and have a profile setup in the browser, please log out of it.

- If you are logged into Google.com with a personal account, please log out of it.

- Then access https://clever.franklin-academy.org with either a Clever badge or the provided student username/password
