Our Week
This week in Pre-K we introduced the letters Pp and Jj. We searched for these letters around the building and in our classmates names, too. The students are practicing air writing the letters Pp and Jj and with pencils on paper in our writing centers. Throughout our days this week, Pre-K students made sets of seven with farm animals, jelly beans, and friends. Our centers are full of engaging activities that reinforce letters, numbers, counting objects, matching capital and lowercase letters, sorting shapes, farm animals, and using age appropriate letter/math activities on a variety of tablets and the interactive TV. We will continue to discover "What is on a Farm?" and "How do machines help farmers?" We rehearse our Veterans Day songs every morning. We enjoyed celebrating Red Ribbon week and were given bracelets, pencils, ribbons, and buttons to remind us to say no to drugs.
