Do You Play Well With Others?

Ethics Every Day with PRSA-WV Chapter on September 16

Ladies and gentlemen: Form your teams

September is PRSA’s national ethics month and West Virginia will rise to the occasion – Do You Play Well with Others? Ethics Every Day.

Wednesday, Sept. 16, chapter members (and guests) will meet at the Charleston Civic Center to participate in WV’s annual ethics competition. Back by popular demand, the format will repeat last September’s program that hit a homerun with participants.

Meeting attendees are advised to form teams prior to the event. Each team will be expected to find all the ethical violations in each of three scenarios to be presented by the Ethics Committee. Rise to the challenge and see if your team can beat the 2014 winner – The Manahan Group.

The committee recommends that members add the PRSA Code of Ethics app to their phones. It is available free in Google’s Android Market and Apple’s App Store, and can be accessed by iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. The app provides easy reference to the Code and Statement of Professional Values, plus more.

GET MOTIVATED! Before Sept. 16, attendees should: 1) Form a team, 2) Load the PRSA Code of ethics app, 3) Study the Code and the Ethical Standards Advisories which are found on PRSA’s national website, and 4) Register for the September meeting (deadline is Friday, September 11).
