Vocabulary
Statistics: the science of the collection, organization, analysis, and interpretation of data.
- a number used to describe set of numbers.
Data/Datum: a piece of information.
Variable: characteristic of a person or thing that can classified, counted, order, or measured.
Survey: gathering facts or opinions through an interview or questionnaire.
Census: a survey of an entire population.
Categorical Variable: a variable whose values represent characteristic rather than measures.
Numerical: a variable that represents numerical value.
