Dolphin Digest
Weekly Update #7
Week of Sept. 19th
Dear WMES Families,
Our Family Fun Fair was amazing. Thank you to our staff, families, Grandparent's Club and PTO for making it such a successful night. We have just completed week 3 and we are so proud of our White Marsh Dolphins and all of their hard work! Students are settling into school routines and are showing their dolphin expectations. daily! We are also busy planning and scheduling field trips for different grade levels, as well as bringing back some of our family and parent engagement events for the school year! Great things are happening at WMES! Below are some important reminders and upcoming dates, so please mark your calendar accordingly.
9/21-PTO Meeting 6:00 p.m.
9/21-Band Night for grades 4/5 beginning at 5:00 p.m.
9/23-Grade 2 Field Trip to Pickering Creek
9/30-Early Dismissal 12:20 p.m.
It is important that we keep dismissal routines the same so students know what to expect. If you need to make a bus change, a note must be sent into the school. When changes are made it certainly can create challenges, especially if the change occurs late in the day. Also, we can not make any transportation changes after 2:45 p.m. Thank you for your understanding.
Here is a list of some updates and dates to mark on your calendar:
-MARK YOUR CALENDARS!! Friday, Sept 30th is our first 1/2 day dismissal. WMES will dismiss at 12:20 p.m. If your child's bus transportation is different than it is on a full day, please provide a note with details, (ie: bus #, address if different than home address and person meeting your student at the bus stop). If your child's car transportation is different than a full day, please provide the name of the person who will be picking your child up in the car rider loop. If they do not have the yellow car rider sign, the student will need to be picked up in the main office and a photo ID is required. If any change needs to be made after school has started on 1/2 days, notification must be made before 11:00 a.m.

Parents need to sign the children up via our website at ForeverMidShore.com (actual link is https://www.forevermidshore.com/weather-kids/), and then we reach out to them using the contact info they provide to set dates, etc. It's open to Elementary & Middle School...kids should be able to read a simply written weather forecast smoothly. It should just be a lot of fun, and sound "cute" on the air!
Grandparent's Corner
